There are many talented U12 ringette teams across Ontario, but today, one team stands alone at the top of the mountain. That team is the U12A London Lynx, who have secured the gold medal, emerging as the undisputed victors of the Ringette Ontario U12A Tier #1 Provincial Championships.
The coaches knew they had something special as early as November 2025. Back then, many onlookers rolled their eyes laughed when the U12A coaches predicted a provincial title run. After all, the roster featured only three returning players alongside eight U12 newcomers. "No way they can win with that mix”, so the skeptics said.
What the coaches saw—and others did not—was a rare chemistry. Beyond being the hardest-working group around, these athletes were genuine teammates who celebrated each other's success as much as their own. Backed by a supportive parent group that focused on unity and supporting the coaching vision, rather than "sideline politics," this team became an unstoppable force.
U12A: The Road to Gold
• The Finals: The gold medal game was a rematch against Gloucester—the only team the Lynx had yet to beat this season. In a breathtaking, back-and-forth battle defined by hard checks, precision passing, and spectacular goaltending, the Lynx powered to a 2-1 victory to claim the gold.
This marks the third gold medal of the season for the U12A Lynx, adding to their previous triumphs in Guelph and Burlington. Congratulations on a triumphant season U12A Lynx!

U12C-Shaw: Dominance in Markham
In equally spectacular fashion, U12C-Shawlooked absolutely untouchable in Markham this weekend, capturing the U12C Provincial Championship title.
The team tore through the Round Robin with a perfect 4-0 record, racking up a staggering 28 goals and a +18 differential:
• vs. Markham: 7-0 (W)
• vs. Sudbury: 9-2 (W)
• vs. Caledonia: 4-3 (W)
• vs. Arnprior: 8-5 (W)
Entering the playoffs as the top seed, they met Caledonia once again. While their first meeting was close, U12C-Shaw only seemed to grow stronger as the weekend progressed, blowing the doors off the semi-final with a 9-2 win.
In the final match against Burlington, the Lynx pounced early, surging to a 3-0 lead in the first period. They never looked back, trading goals in the final frame to finish as 6-3 winners and 12C Provincial Champions! This victory adds a gold to their silver-medal performance in Burlington earlier this year. The transformation of this team from the start of the season has been remarkable—the smiles on their faces said it all. Winning attitudes make winning teams, and U12C-Shaw exemplifies this. Congratulations on an outstanding season!

U12C-Barras: A Season of Incredible Growth
U12C-Barras also delivered a powerhouse performance in Markham. They navigated an impressive undefeated Round Robin (3-0-1), entering the playoffs as the second seed with wins over Burlington, Sudbury, and Metcalf, and a hard-fought tie with Guelph.
Though they dropped a heart-wrenching 5-4 battle in the semi-finals to Burlington and fell to Caledonia in the bronze medal game, the 4th-place finish is a massive achievement. To put this in perspective: this team started the first half of the regular season 0-10 with a -54 goal differential. Their turnaround and development into one of the top teams in the U12C tier is nothing short of inspirational.
