Fun3-Knight Strikes Gold!

Fun3-Knight has won Gold in the 2024 Tillsonburg Twisters Tournament.  

Huge congratulations to Team Knight along with some AP backup help from their fellow Fun3 Lynx teams.  Team Knight entered this tournament as a dark horse, sporting a 3-3 regular season record; facing off against 3 challenging home town Twister teams, with a combined regular season record of 18-5.

Team Knight overwhelmed their Tillsonburg opponents and got stronger and stronger as the tournament progressed.   They started their weekend with a 12-5 win against Tillsonburg-Ratter, followed by a 8-5 victory against their long standing rivals Tillsonburg-VanPuymbroeck.  They finished out their round robin play with a decisive 18-10 win against the previously undefeated Tillsonburg-Manary.

The Gold-medal match featured a rematch between team Knight and Manary that saw London take the lead 3:14 into the game, and they never looked back; cruising to a 15-4 win to take home their first medal of the season.

This was a tremendous team effort that had no less than 6 Lynx players score double digit point totals in a 4-game tournament.

Special congratulations to Maia who scored her first ever ringette goal! And Ruby who was tremendous between the pipes.  Our regrets to our friends who were not able to attend this tournament, we missed you!
