London Ringette - Winter Power Skating Program
The London Ringette Association will be hosting a Winter Power Skating Program that includes some ringette skill development. Jason Williams will continue as our lead power skating instructor and will host 9 power skating sessions. The London Lynx U19AA team will host 3 power skating and skill development sessions.
Jason William was born and raised in London, Ontario. Jason played ten years in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Red Wings in 2000 and played two years with Detroit’s AHL minor league affiliate. During this time, he was part of Detroit’s 2001-2002 Stanley Cup winning team.
Paul Noad is the head coach of the U19AA team and is a qualified power skating instructor. Paul has ingrained his power skating drills into his players which is evident when you watch them play, and no wonder so many were successful in their bid for spots in the Ringette Ontario AAA program. These players have experience in coaching younger players and have been assisting with player development initiatives within London Ringette for several years. We are excited for the opportunity for some of our home grown talent to teach some of our young up-and-comers the skills of the game.
The program starts on January 3rd, 2023 and runs for 12 weeks, every Wednesday, 5pm at Kinsmen Arena. The program is open for players in U10-U14 and the cost is $250/player(*).
Registration is open now to London Ringette members and will open to other associations on December 20th, 2023 is space is available. Space is limited so sign up now!!
